William West Morning Hunter Duck 27X23

William, a native of Durham NC, left for 20 years, graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design, entered the ad business in New York City, Atlanta, and San Antonio and won many national creative awards. After selling his advertising agency business, William started painting and found that watercolors were his true passion. He has immersed himself in painting ever since and enjoys painting a number of different subjects. He has been juried into the Georgia Watercolor Society National 2020 and 2021 Exhibitions and the Watercolor Society of NC Exhibition in 2017 and 2018 and in 2018 won the Windsor Newton Award. He also was juried into the 2020 Watercolor Society of NC show and was awarded signature Membership. In 2021 he was awarded the Hoblin paint award from the Watercolor society of NC. In the 2022 WSNC annual show he was awarded the Russell Yerks Memorial award and Silver Signature status from the Watercolor society of NC. William is also an Associate member of American Watercolor Society and The National Watercolor Society.
