Annie Ingram Blood Moonrise

Pelicans are such a fun subject to paint! They almost seem like they are half-bird and half-pterodactyl. I painted this pelican on a lavender background with hints of copper and coral as a nod to the recent blood moon we enjoyed. Seeing the orange reflection off the Atlantic was an amazing sight to see!
